A seasonal poetry challenge

The October Leafs Challenge is a prompt-driven, daily poetry writing contest, taking place from October 1st through the 31st. There are no constraints on the form, style, or length; only a prompt guides from day to day. Each individual leaf may be a distinctive creation, or a single leaf in a larger narrative pile.

I started the October Leafs challenge in 2018, for a few reasons:

• I love October/Halloween/Autumn
• Wanted a reason to write more poems
• I suck too badly at drawling to participate in INKTOBER

The hashtag to play along is #OctoberLeafs20xx (this years’, for example, is #OctoberLeafs2026).
